The aim of the

1812 golfing challenge:

Let’s go golfing

  • The game of golf is a competition, mostly with yourself, striving to improve your game, the frustration of a fluff and the joys of success, and then there are all the different scoring games to add to the game and vary the way we play, whether you are playing 4BBB, stableford or match play, the basis is to get the pill from tee to green and the bottom of the cup.

Each and every week, people head off to their golf club to play in club competitions, not for the prizes but for the joy and comradery of the game, some even commit to playing Pennant Tournaments within a division of clubs All these events from club matches all the way through to charity events have a very short duration be it a few hours for a charity fundraiser or the club monthly medal rounds.

This competition is very different, ‘The 1812 Golfing Challenge’ is open to all amateur players over the age of 18 with a verifiable Golf Australia handicap over 9 and under 50.. Entry is open Australia wide but in this, it’s inaugural year, will be capped at 300 players. An entry fee of AU$85 is applicable. This entry fee is non-refundable.

The cash prizes for a field of 300 will be awarded from first place to tenth place.
